After a rowdy weekend in Phoenix the PGA Tour heads to the Monterrey Peninsula for another popular event, the Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Dustin Johnson is the +650 favorite at the Westgate SuperBook, while Phil Mickelson (30/1) is the defending winner of the three-course event. Johnson, who has won twice at Pebble Beach, was also runner-up to Graeme McDowell (40/1) last week in Saudi Arabia. Mickelson tied for third in Saudi Arabia last week, his first top 10 since winning the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am last year. In addition to his win, the five-time champion has recorded a T2, T65 and T2 in his last four trips to the Monterrey Peninsula. Joining Johnson, McDowell and Mickelson this week are Patrick Cantlay (12/1), Jason Day (20/1), Paul Casey (20/1), Matt Kuchar (25/1) and Brandt Snedeker (20/1), among others. While the unique event featuring short-yardage courses often leads to low scores, keep in mind that the leader or co-leader after 54 holes has gone on to win 11 times since 2000. ## Pebble Beach Pro-Am format The Pro-Am event consists of two golf tournaments -- an individual stroke-play tournament and net best ball of pro-am teams. Celebrities and former pro athletes this season include Peyton and Eli Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Wayne Gretzky, Bill Murray, Tony Romo, Matt Ryan, Larry The Cable Guy and more. The individual event features a 54-hole cut with three courses in rotation. Top 60 and ties will make the cut and play the final round at Pebble Beach Golf Links. Only professionals may compete in the individual competition part of the tournament. Amateurs are restricted to playing only in the pro-am team competition. The top-25 pro-am teams plus ties make the cut after 54 holes for that separate competition. ## The courses Pebble Beach GL (Yards: 6,816. Par: 72) 2019 difficulty: 12th-hardest Short distance, small greens (poa annua grass) Spyglass Hill GC (Yards: 7,035. Par: 72) Difficulty the past four years: 20th, 16th, 26th, 16th Monterey Peninsula CC (Yards: 6,958. Par: 71) 2019 difficulty: 22th ## Key stats Strokes Gained: Approach Par 5s: Gained Proximity Gained: 100-150 Yards Strokes Gained: Around The Green ## Recent winners 2019: Phil Mickelson -19 2018: Ted Potter Jr. -17 2017: Jordan Spieth -19 2016: Vaughn Taylor -17 2015: Brandt Snedeker -22 2014: Jimmy Walker -11 ## 2020 Pebble Beach Pro-Am betting pick __Jimmy Walker to finish in the top 30 +290__ Walker is looking like a popular DFS play this week and it's easy to see why. He is the 2014 Pro-Am winner and has six finishes of T11 or better here over the last decade. Walker has been erratic with his driver, but the shortness of the three courses gives value to Walker's irons instead. He has gained strokes on approach in each of his events this year. ## 2020 Pebble Beach Pro-Am odds Outright odds provided by the Westgate SuperBook; Golfers listed 200/1 or shorter Dustin JOHNSON 13/2 Patrick CANTLAY 12/1 Jason DAY 20/1 Paul CASEY 20/1 Matt KUCHAR 25/1 Brandt SNEDEKER 20/1 Matthew FITZPATRICK 25/1 Phil MICKELSON 30/1 Viktor HOVLAND 30/1 Branden GRACE 30/1 Jordan SPIETH 30/1 Graeme McDOWELL 40/1 Kevin KISNER 40/1 Daniel BERGER 40/1 Russell KNOX 40/1 Cameron CHAMP 40/1 Alex NOREN 50/1 Max HOMA 50/1 Rafael CABRERA BELLO 60/1 Adam HADWIN 60/1 Chez REAVIE 60/1 Scott PIERCY 60/1 Kevin NA 60/1 Lucas GLOVER 60/1 Jim FURYK 60/1 Tom HOGE 60/1 Kurt KITAYAMA 60/1 J.B.

As legalized sports betting expands, so too are the wagering options available to gamblers. Sportsbooks are getting more and more creative in what they’re posting on their oddsboards. While traditional pre-event bets – such as point spreads, moneylines and totals – remain popular, live betting is become a larger part of the sports betting experience. Also, prop bets aren’t just for the Super Bowl anymore. In fact, there are props to wager on for practically any sporting event around the world.

Whether it’s on the NFL, college football, MLB, NBA, NCAA basketball, NHL, soccer, NASCAR, UFC, boxing, horse racing, tennis, entertainment or eSports, it’s difficult to win long term betting on sports.
