Two NFC East quarterback enter the 2019 season with big question marks. For Eli Manning, the question is whether he will finish the season as the New York Giants’ starter. For Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback Carson Wentz, the question is whether he can stay healthy for the entire season. Both questions have been considered by at least one sportsbook with the release of Caesars' NFC East player props for the 2019 season. Manning’s season yardage total is 2,904.5. His season touchdown pass total, is 18.5. Both totals are fairly modest. Manning threw for 4,299 yards in 2018. That’s a large number. He's also thrown for at least 3,238 passing yards every season since 2005, his second NFL season and first season as a full-time starter. Manning threw 19 touchdown passes last season and 21 in 2017. The only time as a starter that he threw UNDER 18.5 is in 2013 when he tossed 18 touchdown passes. While numbers suggest Manning should hit the OVER in both prop bets, there are some circumstances to consider. Manning is 38 and his play had suffered in recent years. Plus, the Giants [traded receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to Cleveland this offseason,](https://www.betchicago.com/afc-north-props-odds-baker-mayfield-browns) which should affect Manning’s numbers. However, the biggest obstacle to Manning hitting the OVER on these props is the presence of rookie quarterback Daniel Jones, who the Giants took with the No. 6 overall draft pick in April. There have been [indications](http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001035598/article/golden-tate-giants-have-a-really-good-problem-at-qb) that the Giants may give Jones the chance to win the starting job early. Let’s face it: the Giants drafted Jones at No. 6 to play him when he’s ready. If it is early this season, it will happen. Manning could have trouble staying on the field long enough in the season to hit the OVER. As for Wentz, [health](https://247sports.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/Article/Carson-Wentz-Eagles-injury-history-126261601/) has been the concern. He missed five regular-season games in 2018 with a back issue. He missed the final three games of the 2017 regular season with a torn ACL. Wentz’s 2019 season yardage passing total is 3,628.5. His passing touchdowns total is 27.5. Wentz threw for 3,074 yards and 21 touchdowns. Had he stayed healthy, Wentz should have passed both of his 2019 totals. In 2017, Wentz threw for 3,296 yards and 33 touchdowns. He was an MVP candidate before getting hurt. So, if Wentz, who did play a full 16-game schedule as a rookie in 2016, can stay healthy this year, he should hit both OVER bets. The other NFC East quarterback with 2019 prop bets is Dallas’ Dak Prescott. His yardage total is 3,499.5 and his touchdown total is 24.5. ## NFC East player props *From Caesars sportsbook; all bets are -110 each way unless otherwise indicated* __Golden Tate, Giants WR__ Season total receiving yards: 799.5 __Amari Cooper, Cowboys WR__ Season total receiving yards: 1,099.5 __DeSean Jackson, Eagles WR__ Season total touchdowns: 3.5.

As legalized sports betting expands, so too are the wagering options available to gamblers. Sportsbooks are getting more and more creative in what they’re posting on their oddsboards. While traditional pre-event bets – such as point spreads, moneylines and totals – remain popular, live betting is become a larger part of the sports betting experience. Also, prop bets aren’t just for the Super Bowl anymore. In fact, there are props to wager on for practically any sporting event around the world.

Whether it’s on the NFL, college football, MLB, NBA, NCAA basketball, NHL, soccer, NASCAR, UFC, boxing, horse racing, tennis, entertainment or eSports, it’s difficult to win long term betting on sports. That’s why it’s important to read up on the news that impacts the markets, dig deep into advanced statistics and hear from oddsmakers about how and why lines are moving.

Here at BetChicago, we follow sports betting from a national and even international perspective, but we put a special emphasis on Chicago, Illinois and the Midwest region.
